Please remind my mind to be kind

And focused on You

Just for today, Lord

From my eyes that I see

May they be like I’m thirty-three

Just for today, Lord

Let the words that I speak

Be powerful, yet sweet.

Just for today, Lord

Through my wrinkles and gray

Let others see Your strength

And pray

Just for today, Lord

Take the ache from my wrists

So that I may type one more twist.

Just for today, Lord

Remove the weight on my knees

So that I may continue

to bend and pray, please.

Just for today, Lord

Move my feet, even if not fast

So that I may continue to walk

Towards You in the everlast.

Just for today, Lord!
