Ministry Moment with Michelle: "Be the Charge!"
People are suffering from mental health issues and need therapy. Therapists are in great demand now. And rightly so. I have yet to secure one; however, I am not counting it out for the future.
Until that time comes for me, I have to utilize other tools and strategies to maintain the day-to-day stresses.
Most people have some type of coping mechanism or some tools or strategies they use to keep it real. Like that little pink, sun-glass, flip-flops' wearing, "Energizer Bunny" with the little drums who just kept going and going until his battery stopped, remember him? He was good to go after he was replaced with an "Eveready Energizer" battery. (old commercial)
Sometimes when we can't do anything real formal for our mental health, a little recharge of the batteries will help. Metaphorically speaking, like batteries, we can get "recharged" in so many ways. And we can also be someone else's charge!
Yes, you, "Be the Charge!"
We can soak a while in a tub of hot, bubbly water. We can write it out. We can call a friend. (Please don't call Tyrone!) We can pray... even read a Scripture like Isaiah 41:13 "For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, 'Fear not, I am the one who helps you." He is "Ever Ready" to help you Recharge! Renew! Refresh in His Word!
