Ministry Moment with Michelle: "Dogs Don't Bark..."
at Parked Cars!" Quoting from a "very" small section of a sermon I heard on this past Sunday. There were many "golden nuggets" that I took away from the Message. The context of the Message was much larger, and richer than this one little quote. For some reason this one really stuck. I'm taking it a little out of context from Sunday. Ever known the kind of people who are competitive and often times their compliments to you are sometimes backhanded? They may even smile while complimenting you, but at the same time are not really authentic or genuine in their sentiments. A jealous spirit maybe? Who knows? Not important!
We go through life achieving and aspiring to greatness. Sometimes we reach pinnacles of success. Other times we are in a waiting period. Sometimes you have supporters cheering you on, but other times people aren't so supportive. Just want to encourage you to keep on pressing. Keep on moving and don't worry about approval from others, accolades, 'atta girls' or boys. You should focus on the approval of an audience of ONE. Galatians 1:10 is one to ponder. "For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ."
Just know that if the dogs are barking, you must be doing something right; because "Dogs Don't Bark at Parked Cars!"
